is an American blues-rock music duo consisting of vocalist/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer/producer Patrick Carney. The band was formed in Akron, Ohio in 2001.
Brothers was released on May 18, 2010, featuring a 15 track listing. The song “Tighten Up” was released before the album as a single, along with “Howlin’ for You” on the B-side. Brothers sold over 73,000 copies in its first week, giving it a #3 ranking on the Billboard Albums chart, their highest yet. The Brothers CD has a thin thermal film on the surface, which changes colors depending on the temperature of the surroundings and ranges from completely black to a creamy surface with writing on when placed in the CD player. Révélé par le single “High” en 1989, l’artiste a véritablement explosé dix années plus tard avec “Tu ne m’as pas laissé le temps”. Dans la foulée du disque “Sang pour sang” réalisé pour son père, il s’est montré prolifique avec “Révélation”, “Satellite” puis l’éponyme “David Hallyday” en 2007. Pris dans la tempête médiatique lors de l’hospitalisation de Johnny Hallyday fin 2009 et des soucis de santé de sa demi-soeur Laura Smet, dont il assure un duo, “On se fait peur”, sur ce nouveau disque, le chanteur entend défendre ce projet, désormais concentré à 100% sur son métier d’artiste.

Hasard ou coïncidence ? C’est avec “Le coeur qui boite”, un morceau marqué par les déboires sentimentaux, que David Hallyday ouvre ce disque, qui arrive après quelques évènements agités de sa vie privée. Mais la musicalité et l’audace reprennent vite leurs droits au travers du très new wave “Welcome To Nowhere”, atypique dans la discographie du chanteur. Les surprises ne s’arrêtent pas en chemin puisque l’artiste semble avoir été inspiré par des groupes comme Coldplay tant “J’ai vu des rivières”, “Dans nos mains” ou encore “Ma dernière séance”, rappellent le travail de la bande de Chris Martin avec notamment des envolées au piano. David Hallyday a sensiblement bien réussi son entrée dans “Un Nouveau Monde”, son “Nouveau Monde”…

(April 23, 1936 – December 6, 1988) was an American singer-songwriter and musician, well known for his distinctive, powerful voice, complex compositions, and dark emotional ballads. Orbison grew up in Texas and began singing in a rockabilly / country & western band in high school until he was signed by Sun Records in Memphis. His greatest success came with Monument Records in the early to mid 1960s when 22 of his songs placed on the US Billboard Top Forty, including “Only the Lonely”, “Crying”, “In Dreams”, and “Oh, Pretty Woman”. His career stagnated through the 1970s, but several covers of his songs and the use of one in a film by David Lynch revived his career in the 1980s. In 1988, he joined the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynne and also released a new solo album. He died of a heart attack in December that year, at the zenith of his resurgence. is a Vermont-based band that gained national attention in 2007 with its album, This Is Somewhere. Their next, self-titled studio album was released on June 8, 2010. The band blends funky blues, soul and rock from the 60s and early 70s.
The lead vocalist is 27-year-old multi-instrumentalist Grace Potter, who attended St. Lawrence University for two years before pursuing music professionally. She plays the Hammond B3, Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer Electric Piano and electric and acoustic guitars.
